Experience the raw beauty of Iceland as you soar over sweeping glaciers, dramatic fjords, and landscapes steeped in ancient mystery. Flyover in Las Vegas is an immersive journey that transports you to the land of fire and ice, offering a breathtaking adventure through one of the world’s most pristine and awe-inspiring destinations without actually being there.

“‘Legendary Iceland’ transports guests to a place of wonder and awe from the comfort of their seats, soaring above the country’s majestic fjords, sweeping glaciers, and ragged mountain ridges,” said Reece Westerlund, General Manager of Flyover Vegas.

Dramatic footage of remote areas of Iceland was captured over the course of more than two years to bring guests sweeping vistas of the Aldeyjarfoss waterfall, Markarfljótsgljúfur canyon, Þrídrangar island, Mælifell volcano, Dyrhólaey cliffs, Goðafoss waterfall, and more in synchrony with the sounds and scents of Iceland.”

As for Westerlund’s favorite part in the film?

There are so many amazing sights, it’s hard to choose! That said, Mælifell is probably my favorite,” Westerlund shared. “This green volcanic mountain surrounded by black sand is such a surreal and awe-inspiring sight, it looks like something right out of a fantasy film. Vestrahorn is another amazing mountain that many people don’t get a chance to visit, since it’s in the far eastern part of Iceland.”

On a hot 100+ degree day in Vegas, there’s no better time for a Flyover in Iceland. I decided it was a great time to check out Iceland. I’ve been to Flyover before but experienced two different movies. While all three were amazing in their own ways, Iceland was the perfect hot day experience.

After watching a short movie to catch everyone up to speed on Iceland, and then a quick safety demo, it was time to catch our flight. Once seated and strapped in, it was time to leave Vegas and head to Iceland for a quick visit.

Without spoiling anything for future visitors, this experience is not only fun in the moment, but also memorable. Flyover certainly knows how to create an exciting attraction that will stick with you long after you leave.

The scenery, 4D effects such as smell and mist, and just the pure excitement of the other people on the flight with you, it’s just all perfection. Conveniently located on the south end of the Strip across from New York, New York, Flyover is a great option to get out of the heat to enjoy something unique. And with a bar that offers trendy and delicious cocktails, it’s a win-win for an afternoon adventure.
