Meet Madison Cantwell of “FANTASY” at Luxor Las Vegas.

From preschool dance classes to the dazzling stage of “FANTASY,” Madison has been chasing her passion since she was a little girl. Now in her fifth year of calling Las Vegas home, she’s spent the last three and a half bringing her talent, versatility, and love of performance to the iconic show.

Madison’s journey started with the mentorship of her ballet teacher, leading to national tours as a teen and her Vegas debut in “Extravaganza” at Bally’s. Offstage, she teaches dancers of all ages, sharing her skills and inspiring the next generation. Onstage, she shines as a professional showgirl, reminding everyone that “FANTASY” isn’t just a show — it’s a dream brought to life every night.

Madison Cantwell Began Her Dance Journey At A Young Age

Madison’s love of dance began in preschool, but it truly ignited at the age of 8 under the guidance of her ballet teacher, Jocelyn, whose early mentorship continues to inspire her today. In a “full circle moment,” Madison now takes a weekly ballet class from her husband.

From touring the country as a teen in a pre-professional program to making her Vegas debut in “Extravaganza” at Bally’s, filling in for all the female tracks, including the lead, Madison’s journey has been defined by hard work, versatility, and an unwavering passion for the stage.

“I realized I wanted to pursue dance professionally when I was 16. At a national dance competition, I was accepted into a pre-professional program where I trained with working choreographers and traveled around the country for a year,” Madison told The 702 exclusively. “That experience opened my eyes to what a dance career could truly look like, and I knew I wanted to be a part of it.”

Thinking Back From The Early Days Of Her Dance Journey Through ‘FANTASY’

While Madison said she can’t quite pinpoint a single stand-out memory from her early days of dance, she said her mom’s sacrifices will always stick out for her.

“She spent countless hours driving me to classes and competitions and did everything she could to give me the chance to dance,” Madison shared. “That love and commitment are the things I remember most.”

As for her first time stepping onto the stage in “FANTASY,” she said she felt a “mix of calm from being confident in knowing my choreography and also nerves.”

“I wanted to make a great impression and prove I belong in the cast,” she said. “Afterward, I felt proud, relieved and even more inspired to work hard.”

Madison said that the best part of being in “FANTASY” is getting on that stage nightly and sharing that experience with her friends.

“It’s truly a dream,” she said. “No matter how hard my day has been, everything changes the moment I walk onto that stage.”

Dancing has taught Madison many lessons, but the most valuable one, she said, is “nothing is free or guaranteed.”

“You have to work for everything you want, and you can’t expect handouts,” she said. “My faith has taught me to trust God’s timing and stay humble. Hard work and perseverance always matter the most.”

Sharing Some Insight Into Being A Professional Showgirl And Part Of ‘FANTASY’

When asked what fun fact people may not realize about being a showgirl, Madison said, “A lot of people don’t realize that Vegas dancers do their own hair and makeup every night, quick changes and all.”

She further explained that the hardest part about being a showgirl is she has to learn every track in the show and be ready to fill in for someone with zero notice.

“It takes a lot of versatility and focus, and I feel really honored to be trusted with that responsibility,” she shared. “I wish people understood that showgirls are professionals and athletes. The work is demanding, both physically and mentally, but it’s incredibly rewarding.”

Enjoying Las Vegas When Not On The Stage

When she’s not dancing in “FANTASY,” Madison is probably still dancing! She currently teaches ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, and hip hop to dancers ages 2 to 18. She said it’s one of her “greatest joys.”

When she’s not dancing, she likes to play golf at Bali Hai and Reflections Bay and spend some quality time in Boulder City.

As for what she hopes the future holds, Madison said she hopes to “keep performing, teaching, choreographing, and eventually shape the next generation of dancers.”
