The high-energy tribute show wowed the audience with incredible choreography, timeless hits from Jackson, acrobatics, and surprises. Earlier this year, the popular show introduced some new elements to the beloved show, including new acts, a drone number, and new costumes.

The 5,000th show filled the audience with high-profile, specially invited guests. And each person brought a high level of energy and excitement throughout the show.

In addition to some of the classics – “Thriller,” “Billie Jean,” “Beat It,” and “Smooth Criminal,” a new addition to the show wowed the crowd – “Another Part of Me.”

Just before the last holiday season, the show received some technologically advanced upgrades. These upgrades made it more immersive than before. One big change was new high-tech panels to give the show larger-than-life visuals from every angle. Additionally, the show added artistically choreographed drones, new costumes, and new choreography.

A Celebration Fit For The 5,000th Show Milestone

Ahead of the 5,000th performance, a VIP reception had invited guests enjoying cocktails, photos with performers, demonstrations, and free swag.

On one side of Eyecandy Bar & Lounge inside Mandalay Bay, performers were taking photos and doing MJ inspired makeup on anyone who wanted to add some sparkle to their attire. On the other side, guests were enjoying cocktails, snacks, and free swag.

It was definitely a “Thriller” of an evening.

I’ve seen this show twice – once last year and then I was lucky enough to be invited back for the 5,000th show. To say I was blown away equally each time might be an understatement. This show is an absolute must when in Vegas.

Whether you’re a fan of Jackson or not, this show appeals to everyone. The acrobatics and dancing are simply top-tier. Moreover, the original music from Jackson is nostalgic, and the entire vibe of the show is absolutely amazing.

I’ve seen a few other Cirque du Soleil shows in the past year and I love them all, but this one is at the top of my list. I could watch it over and over and never get tired of it.
