The National Finals Rodeo, or NFR, returned to Las Vegas, bringing ten days of high-energy performances, top-tier cowboys and cowgirls, and a citywide celebration of Western culture.

As Sin City transforms with boots, bling, and rodeo fans from across the country, the city is gearing up for packed arenas and events, lively watch parties, and unforgettable nightlife. From world-class competition to pop-up events and country-themed takeovers, NFR season is officially underway—and Vegas is ready to ride.

Celebrating 40 Years Of NFR Excitement In Las Vegas

Since 1985, Las Vegas has been the home arena for the world’s top cowboys and cowgirls during the National Finals Rodeo. This week, they are celebrating 40 years in Sin City with an exciting packed week-plus of festivities.

Each event quickly fills up with energetic fans from all over the country. Events are scheduled throughout the week to keep everyone booked and busy while visiting Vegas. From a gold carpet welcome ceremony to the Miss Rodeo America Pageant, there’s something exciting going on every day for NFR fans to enjoy.

Calendar Of Events At South Point For Rodeo Fans

South Point, on the south end of the Las Vegas Strip, is home to many great NFR related events. Here are just a few of the events fan can enjoy.

CINCH Western Gift Show – Tuesday, Dec. 2 through Sunday, Dec. 14 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Exhibit Hall.

Benny Binion’s World Famous Bucking Horse and Bull Sale – Friday, Dec. 5 at 9 a.m. in the South Point Showroom.

Miss Rodeo America Pageant Fashion Show – Friday, Dec. 5 at 11:30 a.m. in the Grand Ballroom.

Ariat World Series of Team Roping Finale XIX – Friday, Dec. 5 through Sunday, Dec. 14 in South Point Arena.

Miss Rodeo America Pageant Scholarship Foundation Auction – Saturday, Dec. 6 from 9 to 11 a.m. in South Point Showroom.

Riata Showcase Horse Sale – Sunday, Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. in South Point Arena.

Miss Rodeo America Pageant Coronation – Sunday, Dec. 7 at 10:30 a.m. in the Grand Ballroom.

Cowboy Church with Susie McEntire – Sunday, Dec. 7 from 12 to 1 p.m. in Grandview Lounge.

From Dec. 1 to 24, South Point is offering a gaming promotion – City Light Shine “Legends Series” Moonshine Giveaway. Receive a commemorative bottle of City Lights Shine “Legends Series” Moonshine when you coin-in 700 on slots or 2,000 on video poker between 3 a.m. and midnight. Players may earn one bottle per day. Flavors include Mocha, Salted Caramel, Cranberry, and Original.

A few events, such as ALL IN Barrel Race and National Finals Breakaway Roping, have been either canceled or postponed. Some events offer free admission, where others required a ticket to be purchased.
