Sin City Gets Spooky: Where To Find Events, Haunted Fun, And Halloween Cocktails

With Halloween creeping around the corner, now is the time to get into the spooky spirit and enjoy some haunted happenings.

In normal Sin City fashion, there’s plenty to enjoy to celebrate the creepy season – including events, specialty cocktails, and more!

The 702 Vegas compiled a list of great Halloween happenings around the city. There’s something for every age to enjoy, so check out our list before making your scary season plans.

AREA15 Offers Plenty Of Spooky Fun To Enjoy

AREA15 is the place to be for fun any day of the week, any time of year. So of course, they amp up the fun during the spookiest season of the year with tons of great holiday-themed events.

Harvest Hallow, a magical autumn themed pumpkin patch unlike any you’ve ever seen, happens at 1 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through November 2. It’s located at IFly inside Zone 2: The Terminals, and is just $5 per person.

Guests of all ages can enjoy hands-on crafts, a variety of outdoor games, and other interactive fun. Paint a pumpkin, take some fall-themed selfies, and let your creativity come to life.

Bark & Boo Bash is taking place at 747 Plaza on Sunday, Oct. 26 from 3 to 5 p.m. This Halloween-themed dog meetup combines spooky fun with your favorite pups. Dress your dog up for the costume contest and enjoy some challenges with prizes.

You won’t want to miss the Monster Ball on Thursday, Oct. 30 from 8 to 11 p.m. in The Portal. Think: spooky sophistication and fun like you’ve never experienced before. Monster Ball includes dining, dancing, specialty cocktails and live entertainment. “Dress to distress,” as they encourage you to wear your spookiest costume.

Tricks and Treats is an AREA15 District-wide event that’s free for all on Friday, Oct. 31 from 12 to 4 p.m. Celebrate Halloween and Nevada Day while trick-or-treating your way around AREA5. This is a free event for families with an RSVP ticket. Each child 12 and under will receive a Tricks or Treats tote bag and each adult gets an entry to win four Access Level 2 Experience Passes.

Let Your Inner Child Out For Some Play Playground Halloween Fun!

Let your inner child out to play some larger-than-life nostalgic games at Play Playground, located inside Luxor Hotel & Casino. While playing all the fun games, try out a delicious drink off their fall cocktail menu (available through Sunday, Nov. 30).

New seasonal drinks include: Not Your Mama’s Blueberry Cobbler, Smashin’ Pumpkin, Fall in a Cup, Caramel Apple Jell-O Shot, and Freaky Falernum.

Now through Friday, Oct. 31, guests can enjoy Angry Orchard beverage specials, a creative twist on some cider classics. Groups that order a bucket of Angry Orchard will receive bonus game credits.

Lucra Halloween Weekend Tournament takes place Thursday, Oct. 30 through Sunday, Nov. 2. This is a distinctive “fear the floor” Halloween tournament with social gamification leader Lucra. Using the venue’s mobile platform, players can compete, challenge friends, and track scores.

Play Playground is located on the Atrium Level at Luxor Resort and Casino and is open Sunday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to midnight, and Friday and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 1 a.m. For more information, visit their website.

Looking for some family friendly Halloween fun? Dinosaur Outpost will take part in the annual Town Scary at Town Square Las Vegas on Friday, Oct. 31 from 4 to 7 p.m. This event includes trick-or-treating, family friendly entertainment, and fun games.

Dinosaur Outpost will offer guests a chance to win dinosaur-themed prizes, meet some baby dinos, and explore a special part of the attraction free of charge during the event.

Dia De Los Muertos Celebration On November 1

The Halloween vibe doesn’t have to end at 11:59 p.m. on October 31. Enjoy a fun Dia de los Muertos celebration on Saturday, Nov. 1 at Lucia Mexican Grill at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. Raise a glass to life, luck, and delicious flavor with a holiday-themed cocktail.

Diners can enjoy an exclusive limited-time menu that features festive cocktails, themed beer, and shot specials. Be sure to check out the signature “horseshoe shot flipper,” a custom Herradura vessel that arrives upside down for “good luck” and flips to pour either a sidecar or full cocktail.

There will be complimentary tastings from 4 to 8 p.m. throughout the restaurant, all set to the spirit of Dia de los Muertos themed decor and attire.
