If you’re one of the many models who hopes to score a job as a pool server, bartender, hostess, or barback during the upcoming Vegas pool season, audition time is upon us. (And while many clubs and pools already held their auditions, there are still a few coming up!)

These jobs are limited and very sought-after, meaning thousands will audition and only a handful will walk away with a job offer. If this is something you’ve always wanted to do, but have no idea what to expect, Lindsey is sharing her first time experience to empower others.

Lindsey’s advice can help anyone who’s considering attending the upcoming Bel-Aire Backyard at Durango Casino & Resort model hospitality auditions from Monday, Feb. 2 through Wednesday, Feb. 4, or any other upcoming pool auditions.

Auditioning For A Model Hospitality Position For The First Time This Year

TikToker Lindsey has been sharing her auditioning experience on social media so others who are thinking about auditioning for a position can have some additional insight into the process and know a little about what to expect.

She started one of her recent videos by explaining that once a year, all the day and nightclubs, hotel pools, and hospitality groups host auditions for model cocktail servers, bartenders, food runners, and anyone who works at the pools during pool season.

“It’s been on my bucket list to audition for those and I have my tea right here and I thought we would just talk about it,” Lindsey said in her video. “So the first audition I did was for Tao Hospitality Group, which I’m very familiar with.”

She explained that first she had to apply for the position she was interested in and then sign up for a timeslot to attend the audition. She then explained what happened once at the audition. (Check out her TikTok video for more information.)

Lindsey Shared More About The Exciting Audition Process

While Lindsey shared more about her experience on TikTok, she also told The 702 a little more about the process and why she wanted to share an inside look at her audition process.

“I’ve been a model and I’ve done pageants and acting for years now so it’s not something I’m not completely foreign to, however, I did so much research looking up videos and everything preparing for my first time,” she told The 702. “And that’s part of the reason I wanted to make videos of myself. I saw so many videos that were giving vague overviews, but none that were really giving me details of what’s exactly going on.”

Lindsey told The 702 that the process can be overwhelming if you go in blindly, so she’s happy to share all she’s learned in the hopes of helping others who dream of scoring one of these coveted positions.

“You’ve got to know the service industry, but you’ve also got to basically train like an athlete in order to look a certain way. You have to know how to do your own hair and makeup,” she continued. “It’s such a unique, fascinating process.”

A Second Round Of Pool Auditions Took Lindsey Off The Strip

Lindsey shared her second round of pool auditions in a follow up video on TikTok. This round of auditions had her at M Resort, located off the Strip. This experience was a bit different than the on Strip dayclub auditions.

“For M specifically, it was pretty much the same, they wanted you to come in full glam. They wanted you to come in a swimsuit. They also specified, they made it very clear, please come in a cover up, which I think a  lot of other places recommend, or it’s implied that you need to wear something over top of it,” she said in her follow up video. “This was the only one that I remember seeing that explicitly said please wear something over top of it.”

At this audition, she was one of the first people there, which changed this experience slightly from the last.

Her video continues to explain the process, sharing that there was a group interview in swimsuits, and what came next.

More Inside Info On Auditioning For A Model Hospitality Pool Position

Lindsey explained a little about why these positions are so sought-after year after year.

“From what I understand, the reward is changing your financial future, changing your social future, doing something so unique for the summer, and just having an opportunity to live in Vegas and really work a Vegas experience, like nothing else in this country,” she told The 702.

And while it’s such an amazing opportunity, people thinking about auditioning really need to think if this is something they want to do, because at the end of the day, it is a high-profile job.

Another thing to note, just because you were offered a position in a previous year, doesn’t mean you don’t have to audition all over again year after year. No one is guaranteed a pool position just because they were hired in a previous year.

Lindsey also explained that while walk-in auditions are welcome, planning ahead and getting a scheduled audition slot can be time saving and maybe slightly less stressful.

Lindsey shared some advice for anyone thinking about auditioning.

“Do your research. Really decide if this is for you. There’s tons of videos out there,” she shared. “I’m going through this strategically, which is my other piece of advice. You’ve got to pick your first round choices that you really want and your second round choices that you would be happy if you got, and your third round choices that it’s like, it’s not my favorite place but I would be okay if I got it.”

She continued, “If you really want to do this, you have to be strategic about it. You have to think, what suit am I going to wear, am I going to match the colors of the pool that I want to audition at?”

She also suggested doing some practice interviews, saying ChatGPT has been helpful for that.

Auditions At Bel-Aire Backyard Are Coming Up!

Thinking about auditioning?  While some places have already held their auditions for the 2026 pool season, Clique Hospitality is getting ready to do auditions for top hospitality to joint the team at Bel-Aire Backyard at Durango Casino & Resort. They will be hosting a multi-day casting call from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 2 through Wednesday, Feb. 4, inside Bel-Aire Lounge.

Monday, Feb. 2 auditions will be reserved for model cocktail server positions only. On Tuesday, Feb. 3 and Wednesday, Feb. 4, they will be auditioning for all positions – hostess, model cocktail servers, model bussers, model barbacks, model bartenders, cooks, porters, security, and lifeguards.

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Hostess applicants must be 18 years of age. Model applicants will be required to audition in swimwear. For more information, visit Clique Hospitality’s website.
