Vegas welcomed the Lunar New Year with bold Fire Horse energy, as celebrations unfolded across the city in vibrant and spectacular fashion. Resorts, casinos, and cultural venues embraced the occasion with dazzling red décor, traditional lion dances, festive performances, and immersive displays symbolizing strength, passion, and good fortune for the year ahead.

From elaborate installations along the Strip to lively cultural showcases and themed culinary experiences, the city blended tradition with its signature flair, creating a dynamic and high-energy start to the Lunar New Year.

Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens Serves Vibrant Fire Horse Energy For Vegas Visitors And Locals Alike

The Conservatory’s Horticulture and Engineering teams reimagine the 14,000-square-foot Botanical Gardens each season, transforming the space into an immersive display of color, fragrance, and design. Throughout the year, visitors experience installations inspired by spring, summer, fall, winter, and a special Lunar New Year showcase.

Now through Saturday, Feb. 28, visitors can step into the world of the Fire Horse with glowing red energy and lucky vibes all around.

The Lunar New Year exhibit transforms the Conservatory into an amazing celebration of culture, tradition, and renewal. Through elaborate floral arrangements, symbolic decorations, and immersive design elements, the display highlights themes of prosperity, luck, and new beginnings inspired by the zodiac year.

ARIA Resort & Casino Celebrated The Year Of  The Fire Horse With A Dragon And Lion Dance

ARIA Resort & Casino celebrated the Year of the Fire Horse with a lively Lunar New Year dragon and lion dance on Friday, Feb. 20. The traditional performances were presented by the internationally acclaimed Yau Kung Moon, blending the rich heritage of the Southern Shaolin Kung Fu system with contemporary elements.

Thousands gathered both inside ARIA’s lobby and just outside the doors in the valet area to catch a peek of the celebration. After a ceremony and show outside, the dancers proceeded inside the casino and were greeted by excitement and people holding red envelopes to gift them. They continued throughout much of the resort, entertaining everyone along the way and spreading good luck and cheer.

Rooted in more than 1,000 years of history, the Southern Shaolin Kung Fu system is a longstanding martial arts tradition showcased by Yau Kung Moon. Translating to “Style of Flexible Power,” Yau Kung Moon is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading martial arts and dragon and lion dance organizations. Recognized for its signature gold uniforms and dynamic, innovative performances, the group gained international acclaim as the first U.S. team to compete in the 1990 Invitational World Lion Dance Festival in Malaysia.

The Venetian Resort Las Vegas Rang In Lunar New Year With A Traditional Lion Dance Performance

Earlier in the week, The Venetian Resort Las Vegas celebrated Lunar New Year with a colorful and traditional lion dance performance. The celebration began near the resort’s signature outdoor gondola attraction before processing through the property and concluding at The Palazzo front desk.

Symbolizing prosperity, good fortune, and the removal of negative energy, the lively performance featured performers in ornate lion costumes moving to the rhythmic sounds of drums, cymbals, and gongs, bringing the festive tradition to life. Guests gave performers red envelopes for good luck and prosperity.

Fremont Street Experience Also Celebrated Lunar New Year

Fremont Street Experience, the iconic downtown Las Vegas entertainment district, also rang in the Lunar New Year in a big way – a dazzling digital tribute to the Year of the Fire Horse on The Canopy.

From Feb. 17 through Feb. 23, the Fire Horse will light up the 1,375-foot LED display once every hour. There are additional showings from Feb. 19 to 21.

The district came alive with a vibrant celebration, immersing visitors in spectacular visuals and festive energy. Guests can gather beneath the glow of the canopy to experience this limited-time Lunar New Year presentation, welcoming a year of prosperity, strength, and good fortune in the heart of Las Vegas through Monday, Feb. 23.
